Community members are invited to join the City of La Cañada Flintridge for its annual Community Preparedness Day at 6 p.m., on Tuesday, September 16, at Olberz Park (One Civic Center Drive), an event designed to promote safety, readiness and community connection.
Themed “Wildfire Prevention Awareness,” this free, family-friendly event will provide vital resources to help the community prepare for emergencies of all kinds. Attendees can enjoy:
- Meet-and-greets with local first responders
- Food and live music
- Lawn games and activities for all ages
- Informational booths with tips, tools and resources
- A chance to interact with our brush-clearing goats
“Public safety is the top priority for La Cañada Flintridge, and preparation is a critical step for both the City and our residents,” said Mayor Kim Bowman. “Community Preparedness Day brings that message to life in a fun and meaningful way. It’s an opportunity for neighbors to come together, learn from experts, and take the small steps that make a big difference during an emergency.”
The event is part of the City’s continued efforts to enhance emergency readiness and promote public safety through education and engagement. Learn more at LCF.ca.gov/Annual-Community-Preparedness-Day.
