The City Council appoints the City Attorney. The City Council has retained Adrian R. Guerra of Aleshire & Wynder on a contract basis. The City Attorney provides professional, quality legal services including legal counsel, legal advice and opinions, legal document preparation, and representing the City in potential litigations. The City Attorney also regularly attends City Council and Planning Commission meetings.
Adrian R. Guerra is the City’s City Attorney. Mr. Guerra is an equity partner at Aleshire & Wynder. He serves as City Attorney for the City of Grand Terrace, and City Attorney and Successor Agency Counsel for the City of Irwindale. He also serves as Special Counsel for the Los Angeles County Development Authority, General Counsel for the Santa Clara County Housing Authority, and Special Counsel of the Housing Authority of the City of Alameda. Mr. Guerra has previously served as Assistant City Attorney for the cities of Monterey Park, Huntington Park, Cerritos, San Dimas.
