Levine Act

The Levine Act requires that any party participating in a proceeding before the City of La Cañada Flintridge (“City”) must disclose any campaign contributions above $500 made to elected or appointed officials within the 12 months prior to the City’s decision on matters related to contracts, licenses, permits or entitlements for use. Participants can voluntarily report these contributions using the designated form and submit them to tgarcia@lcf.ca.gov.

This form should be completed by:

1. Any party engaged in a contract with the City (or their representative) at the time of submitting a response to a Request for Proposals, participating in a competitive solicitation, starting contract negotiations or finalizing a contract.
2. Any party involved in a license, permit or entitlement application process with the City at the time of submitting the application (or through their representative).

This requirement applies if a party (or their representative) has made contributions totaling over $500 to a City Council member or appointed officials involved in the proceeding within the previous 12 months.

If new reportable contributions are made while a contract, license, permit or entitlement is under review, a supplementary form must be filed. Additionally, parties are encouraged to use this form to update or correct any previously submitted disclosures.

It is the responsibility of the parties to accurately complete this form. If there are any uncertainties regarding reporting requirements or contribution combinations, it’s advisable to consult with legal counsel.
