Mayor Jeanne Kim Hobson

Mayor Jeanne Kim Hobson has resided in La Canada Flintridge for over 27 years. Together with her husband Mark, they have raised four children. She graduated from UCLA with a degree in Economics and is a committed business and community advocate.

Mayor Hobson is an experienced professional and worked 18 years at The Walt Disney Company. As Senior Vice President she led organizations responsible for multi-billion dollar revenue while building a culture of transparency, collaboration and innovation. Prior to this she worked in corporate accounting for several major retailers.

Giving back to our community through volunteering and civic service is a priority for Mayor Hobson. She has served on the YMCA of the Foothills Board of Directors for 10 years in various roles including Board Chair, Treasurer and Interim CEO. She also served our city as a Parks and Recreation Commissioner prior to becoming elected to City Council.

Mayor Pro Tem Stephanie Fossan

Mayor Pro Tem Stephanie Fossan was elected to the City Council in March, 2024. Ms. Fossan and her family have lived in La Cañada Flintridge since 2009. Her involvement in the community includes serving as President and Gala Co-Chair for the La Cañada Flintridge Educational Foundation (LCFEF), as Trustee of the LCFEF Endowment, as Co-Chair of the 2017 School Bond Committee and Co-President of the La Cañada High School Choral Parents Association.

Ms. Fossan started her career in the US State Department, serving as a US diplomat at the American Embassies in London, England and Beijing, China. She later got her MBA and started a 20+ year career in the technology sector – working at Yahoo!, EarthLink, Oracle and two start-ups.

Mrs. Fossan is married to public radio host, Kai Ryssdal. They have four children, all of whom attended LCUSD schools. She has a BA and MBA from Stanford University.

Council Member Quemars Ahmed

Council Member Quemars Ahmed was elected to the City Council in June 2026. Born at Verdugo Hills Hospital to immigrant parents, he has lifelong roots in La Cañada Flintridge and is a proud graduate of La Cañada High School.

Prior to his election, Council Member Ahmed served on the city’s Sustainability and Resilience Commission, where he focused on fire resilience and implementation of the city’s Climate Action and Adaptation Plan. He is proud and humbled to continue serving his hometown and to help ensure it remains the same great community that shaped him.

Council Member Ahmed holds a Bachelor of Science in Diplomacy & International Relations from Seton Hall University and a J.D. from UCLA School of Law, where he served as the first Muslim Editor-in-Chief of the UCLA Law Review. He currently works as an attorney for a nonprofit that provides legal assistance to municipalities across the country to help protect residents’ rights and services. He also currently teaches undergraduate legal courses at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.

Council Member Kim Bowman

Council Member Kim Bowman is a father, spouse, elder law attorney, and an advocate for older adults who is working to improve the community to make sure it remains an amazing place to grow up, raise a family, and grow older.

Council Member Bowman is an elder law and estates attorney who previously spent more than five years as special counsel for Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County, a nonprofit legal aid organization, where he provided free legal assistance to those harmed by natural disasters and led the estates and probate program for low-income individuals and families.

Council Member Bowman serves as a major in the United States Air Force Reserve and a member of The Judge Advocate General’s Corps. He is also a Lecturer in Law at the University of Southern California, Gould School of Law, where he has taught both law and medical students.

In addition to his professional public service roles, Council Member Bowman is past president of the Los Angeles County Commission for Older Adults, a former La Cañada Flintridge Parks and Recreation commissioner, has served on the boards of several nonprofit organizations.

Council Member Bowman holds a law degree from the University of the Pacific, a master’s degree in gerontology (aging) from the University of Southern California, a master’s degree in business administration from Westminster University, and bachelor’s degrees in gender studies and political science from the University of Utah. He is admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of the United States, the Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, the Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals, the state courts and central district federal court of California, and all state and federal courts in Utah.

Council Member Bowman is married to Cynthia Nguyen, M.D., a pediatric orthopedic surgeon at a nonprofit children’s hospital in Pasadena. Together with their children Alice and Colette, the family makes their home near Glenola Park.

Councilman Keith Eich

Councilman Keith Eich was first elected to the La Cañada Flintridge City Council in March 2020 and re-elected in 2024. He has previously served as Mayor (2022-2023) and as a member of the City’s Public Works & Traffic Commission (prior to serving on City Council), where he focused on practical improvements to streets, safety, and infrastructure. On the Council, Keith’s priorities include public safety, responsible stewardship of taxpayer dollars, well-maintained streets and parks, support for small businesses, and preservation of La Cañada Flintridge’s small-town, family-oriented character. He is known for being prepared, data-driven, and respectful in his approach, working collaboratively with residents, staff, and his colleagues on the Council. His focus is firmly on local issues that matter to La Cañada Flintridge families.

Professionally, Keith helps nonprofits and businesses navigate complex regulatory and compliance requirements through modern technology solutions. He previously held executive roles at LegalZoom and General Electric. He spent more than a decade in media and entertainment at NBCUniversal, where he worked in digital distribution and innovation. This blend of technology, operations, and product leadership informs his emphasis on common-sense, effective, and transparent local government.

Keith is a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, where he earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in engineering, and later returned to serve as an adjunct professor of Entertainment Economics and capstone advisor. He also holds an MBA from the University of Southern California. His academic and professional background gives him a strong analytical foundation, which he pairs with a practical, citizen-first mindset in his work on the Council.

Faith and family are central to Keith’s life. He has served as an Elder at La Cañada Presbyterian Church and has been active in volunteer and community service, including coaching youth baseball and softball and supporting local schools and community events.

Keith and the love of his life, Lisa, were married in La Cañada Flintridge in 2010 and are grateful to be raising their three children here. He considers it a blessing and a privilege to serve his neighbors on the City Council and is committed to keeping La Cañada Flintridge a safe, welcoming, and well-run community for generations to come.
