The City of La Cañada Flintridge is excited to announce that it is currently seeking applications from residents interested in serving on various City Commissions, Committees, and Councils. Those interested may submit an application to the Office of the City Clerk by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2025. Applications may be submitted through multiple formats: online, in person, via US mail, or by e-mail at tgarcia@lcf.ca.gov. City Commissions play a vital role in advising the City Council on diverse matters within their designated areas. Commissioners typically serve four-year terms; however, members of the Youth Council may serve one or two-year terms. All positions are appointed by the City Council, and applicants must be City residents, with an exception for one member of the Design Commission, who should be a business owner or manager within the City.
Current openings are available across all City Commissions, which include the Design Commission, Investment & Financing Advisory Committee, Parks & Recreation Commission, Planning Commission, Public Safety Commission, Public Works and Traffic Commission, and the Youth Council.
The City Council is tentatively scheduled to make the appointments at the Tuesday, May 20, 2025, Regular Meeting.
