Attention, La Cañada Flintridge residents! Thanks to the South Coast Air Quality Management District’s Residential Electric Lawn and Garden Equipment Rebate Program, you can receive up to $250 when you replace your old gas-powered equipment with new, cordless electric models.
Whether you’re looking to swap out your lawn mower, leaf blower, chainsaw or weed trimmer, this program makes it easier and more affordable to make the switch. Here’s how it works:
- Buy new, battery-powered lawn equipment from an authorized retailer.
- Trade in your working gas-powered equivalent at a certified dismantler.
- Submit your rebate application online with a receipt and verification form.
- Receive a rebate check in the mail (usually within a few weeks).
To qualify, you must live within South Coast AQMD’s jurisdiction, which includes La Cañada Flintridge, and trade in a working gas-powered version of the equipment you’re replacing. Each household can receive up to three rebates over the life of the program, one per equipment type.
