The City of La Cañada Flintridge is proud to announce the launch of its new Tree Benefits page, a dynamic online resource designed to connect residents with the city’s abundant urban forest and highlight the many advantages that trees bring to the community.

The new Tree Benefits page, now live on the city’s official website at www.lcf.ca.gov, offers residents an interactive way to explore the trees planted along the city’s right of way. The tool provides detailed information about each tree, including its species, size, and environmental contributions. Residents can also view the calendar year in which each tree is scheduled for trimming, allowing for better planning and communication with the city’s maintenance operations.

“Our city values its beautiful tree canopy, and this new tool offers a transparent and engaging way for residents to learn more about the trees that enhance their neighborhoods,” said Michael Davitt, Mayor. “It’s part of our ongoing commitment to environmental stewardship and community involvement.”

In addition to mapping out the city’s public trees, the Tree Benefits page outlines the many advantages that trees provide, including improved air quality, energy savings, stormwater management, and increased property values. By understanding the role that trees play in promoting public health and environmental sustainability, residents are encouraged to take an active part in preserving and nurturing the city’s green infrastructure.

The City of La Cañada Flintridge invites all residents to explore this innovative tool, gain insights about their local urban forest, and join the collective effort to maintain and protect the community’s natural beauty.
