Together for 50 Years

Together for 50 Years

The City of La Cañada Flintridge is celebrating 50 years of community, service and shared history. Throughout this milestone year, we are excited to invite residents, families and local partners to join us in honoring the people, places and traditions that have shaped our City since incorporation.

Our 50th Anniversary theme, “Together for 50 Years,” reflects what makes La Cañada Flintridge special: a connected community that continues to grow, thrive and come together across generations.

This page will serve as the central hub for anniversary programs, community initiatives, special events and updates throughout the year. Check back often as new details are added.

50th Anniversary Logo Contest

As part of the City’s 50th Anniversary celebration, La Cañada Flintridge invited the community to help commemorate this milestone through a public logo contest. Community members were encouraged to submit an original design that captures the spirit of La Cañada Flintridge and reflects the theme “Together for 50 Years.” The City is proud and excited to share the fantastic logo designs from our local artists and designers of all ages.

50 Trees for 50 Years

To mark the City’s 50th Anniversary and celebrate environmental stewardship, La Cañada Flintridge is launching “50 Trees for 50 Years.”

This community initiative will plant 50 trees throughout the City over the course of the year. As part of the program, residents will have the opportunity to request one of the 50 trees to be planted in the public right-of-way in front of their home, helping grow the City’s urban forest while contributing to a lasting anniversary legacy.

The initiative will officially kick off during the LCF Earth & Arbor Day Sustainability Celebration on April 23 from 3-7:30 PM.

Program Highlights

  • 50 trees to be planted citywide during the anniversary year
  • Residents may request a tree in front of their home in the public right-of-way
  • Trees will contribute to the beauty, sustainability and long-term health of the community
  • The initiative launches at the City’s LCF Earth & Arbor Day Sustainability Celebration on April 23 from 3-7:30 PM
